Imaging is not my main priority, there are many amazingly skilled astrophotographers out there. With the 180/1800 Mak-Cass,  a StarlightXpress SVX-H9 with a SVX auto guider head, I used to do some imaging and basic astrometry. A challenging long-term project would be to to measure the parallax for a reasonably nearby star.  A classic target is 61 Cygni,  the first star to have its distance measured. Oddly enough, 61 Cygni is also the name of a Texas rock group... Since the parallax of 61 Cygni is only about 0.3 arcseconds, this will really be pushing the limit of observability!
